Introducing the Burberry 2016 Fall/Winter Campaign
Burberry gets set for summer with the launch of three new eyewear collections for Heritage, the range which epitomises the essence of the brand and its perfect blend of elegant design and British individuality, craftsmanship and innovation.

The stand-out feature of the collections is the iconic Burberry check, one of its best-known, most distinctive patterns, a reworking of a traditional Scottish tartan created in 1920.
The Regent collection takes its inspiration from Burberry’s flagship store at 121 Regent Street, one of the most famous thoroughfares in all of London. The store is striking for its contrasts, combining cutting-edge digital technologies with all the allure of a historic 19th-century building. The eyewear collection celebrates this fascinating interplay between the past and present with six acetate and nylon fibre frames, complete with a worked metal check motif on the temples. The square, round and phantos frames for women (two sun and two optical models) come in colors ranging from traditional black and havana to graduated shades of red and blue. There are square and rectangular frames for men (one sun and one optical model), available in darker tones of black, electric blue, dark green and dark havana.
Leather Check collection combines the iconic check with all the elegance of leather. In all the designs, the check motif is printed on the leather covering part of the temples. Round, rectangular and butterfly frames for women – two sun and two optical models – with acetate front and metal temples come in a color palette of black, havana, graduated red and trench. The all-metal, square and pilot shapes for men – one optical and one sun – come in black, havana, navy blue and grey.
Lightweight Check is a chic, feminine range made all the more exclusive thanks to its production method, a combination of expert craftsmanship and a technique traditionally used to make fine jewellery: lost wax casting. The check design is carved in wax then encased in plaster to make a mould into which molten metal is poured. Once the metal has cooled and solidified, the plaster mould is removed to reveal the check motif; finally, it is hand-finished with contrasting colored enamels. This creates a sophisticated pattern along the temples, like a metal thread skillfully hand-crafted. The two sunglass designs come in square and butterfly shapes in acetate and nylon fibre, while the acetate optical frames are round and rectangular in shape; both have a choice of black, havana, trench, brown tortoiseshell and light Havana colors.
Burberry has a whole host of other news. The historic British brand has added two more unique colors to its Graphic Check and Contrast Check collections for Acoustic, the youthful, casual, easy-to-wear eyewear range inspired by musical creativity and innovation. In Graphic Check, the classic check motif is melded with different shades of tortoiseshell patterns which are printed on the acetate temples in various tones of havana. Contrast Check plays with color combinations to fashion acetate and metal sunglasses with semi-translucent, colored temples; there are also spray-painted monotone variations with a havana effect.
Four designs from the Acoustic Graphic Check collection are the stars of the autumn/winter 2016 advertising campaign shot by Mario Testino in association with young British artist and up-and-coming design talent Luke Edward Hall, in an intriguing blend of photography and graphic design.
